July 2025 Second Pricing Window: Fuel prices shoot up across OMCs

Fuel selling at GH¢12.59 at various pumps

As the second pricing window of July 2025 opens, commercial motorists and private car owners should brace themselves for a surge in fuel prices.

The increase follows the implementation of the GH¢1 fuel levy, which takes effect on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

Checks by GhanaWeb Business revealed that, as of 9:00 AM on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, Star Oil, a leading oil marketing company, has adjusted its prices to reflect the implementation of the D-Levy.

Price Changes from July 3 to July 16:

• Super: GH¢10.99 → GH¢12.59 (↑ 14.56%)

• Diesel: GH¢12.99 → GH¢13.99 (↑ 7.70%)

• RON 95: GH¢13.99 → GH¢14.99 (↑ 7.15%)

GOIL’s Revised Prices:

• Super XP: GH¢12.88

• Diesel XP: GH¢14.38

• RON 95: GH¢15.77

TotalEnergies’ Revised Prices:

• Super XP: GH¢12.40

• Diesel XP: GH¢13.40

• RON 95: GH¢15.67

Additionally, some smaller oil marketing companies (OMCs) have adjusted their prices in line with GOIL’s new rates:

• Pacific: Super XP at GH¢11.68, Diesel XP at GH¢12.98

• Frimps Oil: Super XP at GH¢11.05, Diesel at GH¢12.65
