Juicy trade turns sour amid Trump's tariffs on imports - eNCA

JOHANNESBURG - South Africa is the world's second-largest exporter of citrus after Spain.

But Donald Trump’s tariffs on imports to the US could push local farmers out of the American market.

This comes during the peak winter harvest and could put many jobs at risk.

According to FNB senior agriculture economist Paul Makube the hysterical landscape in the Western Cape in terms of areas that produce citrus will be affected.

This includes future planning.
