JNVSA Alumni group extends financial aid to Kh Govin
Kakching, July 13 2025: The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNVS), Sandumba Achouba Umathel, Alumni Group has extended heartfelt support to Khumukcham Govin Singh (34) of Kakching Sumak Leikai, who was critically injured in a road accident and is currently undergoing treatment in the ICU of Shija Hospitals, Imphal.
As part of the group's collective effort, an amount of Rs 2,80,400 was handed over to Govin's family to assist with his medical expenses.
Speaking in this connection, JNVSA Alumni Group, joint Secretary Mayengbam Roni stated that upon learning through social media that Govin, a former student of the 18th batch of JNVSA, had met with a serious accident, the alumni group quickly mobilized support from every batch of the institution to contribute.
Students from the first batch to the most recent batch of the institute came forward generously to raise the total amount, which was subsequently handed over to the family.
Roni further informed that Govin's left hand has been amputated due to severity of the injuries and will undergo further treatment.
Therefore he appealed to the public to come forward and extend further assistance for his recovery.
Govin's family and well-wishers have expressed deep gratitude to the JNVS Alumni Group for their timely and generous support, both emotionally and financially, during this difficult time.
