Japanese Pop Sensation Mrs. GREEN APPLE Shatters Records, Hits 10 Billion Streams!

Mrs. GREEN APPLE has etched their name into J-pop history by becoming the first artist to achieve over 10 billion cumulative domestic streams across their entire catalog. This groundbreaking milestone, reached in July, was recognized by Billboard Japan, who presented the band with a special plaque. In response, the trio expressed profound gratitude to their dedicated listeners, acknowledging the monumental support that made this achievement possible.

The band's impressive catalog boasts a long list of hits, with 31 songs each accumulating over 100 million domestic streams as of November 2025 – a record for any artist, according to Billboard Japan. Their most-streamed track, “Ao to Natsu,” alone accounts for over 900 million streams. Other notable songs surpassing the 100-million mark include “Tenbyo no Uta (feat. Sonoko Inoue),” “Dancehall,” “Que Sera Sera,” and “Lilac.” This year alone, new releases like “Darling,” “KUSUSHIKI,” “Heaven,” and “breakfast” have also quickly crossed this significant threshold.

The year 2025 marks a special occasion for Mrs. GREEN APPLE as they celebrate their 10th anniversary under the banner of “MGA MAGICAL 10 YEARS.” This celebration has included a range of initiatives nationwide, notably an anniversary concert, MGA MAGICAL 10 YEARS ANNIVERSARY LIVE ~FJORD~, which drew a total of 100,000 attendees over two days. Their anniversary best-of album, 10, has also been a focal point. Beyond group activities, individual members – Motoki Omori (vocals and guitar), Hiloto Wakai (guitar), and Ryoka Fujisawa (keyboards) – have branched into acting and hosting, garnering wide support across music and variety entertainment.

Currently, the band is in the midst of the largest tour of their career, the five-dome DOME TOUR 2025 “BABEL no TOH.” Despite an exceptionally packed schedule, the three members took time to reflect on their 10 billion stream achievement with Billboard Japan. Motoki Omori described the number as
