James Gunn Pens Message to Impatient DC Fans Over 'The Batman Part II' Progress: "Let the Guy Write" - IMDb
The last six months or so have been peppered with updates about upcoming projects for James Gunn's Dcu. After the launch of the Dcu with Creature Commandos, eyes have been looking ahead to Superman, releasing next month. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Gunn talked about his upcoming take on the Man of Steel as well as another DC Comics adaptation that, while not a part of his Dcu, is still making headlines. The 2022 film, The Batman, starred Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne, and a sequel, The Batman Part II, is still happening, even with everything going on with Gunn's Dcu. While one may expect there to be a conflict if Matt Reeves' Batman isn't a part of the Dcu, it's just the opposite, but any news seems to have fans champing at the bit for the installment. Gunn is stressing patience, colorfully:
