Newly promoted Esenler Erokspor Istanbul (BSL) strengthened their roster with addition of 29-year old American 203cm forward Jakeenan Gant (college: Louisiana) for season 2025-26. Gant played most recently at H.Haifa in Israeli Winner League. In 23 games he recorded 12.3ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.4apg last season. He also played for BC Pari Nizhny Novgorod in Russian league that season where in 12 VTB United League games he averaged 5.0ppg and 2.6rpg.
Gant is a very experienced player. Thanks to Gant's pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America) in six different countries. He has played previously professionally in Canada (Rattlers and Blackjacks), France (Chorale de Roanne), South Korea (Mobis Phoebus), NBA G League (Indiana Mad Ants) and The Basketball Tournament (Power of the Paw). Gant was also voted to All-Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year back in 2018 and 2019.
His team won Sun Belt Regular Season in 2018.
He graduated from University Louisiana at Lafayette in 2019 and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball. Gant played also for University of Missouri for 2 years.
