Interview: Dead Superstar (Written)
Hi Y’all! Terence here! Thanks for reaching out. Again my name is Terence, the singer/frontman for Dead Superstar. I’m a spiritual wildcat rolled up into a fuzzball grenade.
I guess we are a mashup of hard rock, alternative, metal, hip hop w a splash of electronic noise.
Today?! Getting this new Ep “ Rid the Fear ”out to the world! We released it on 4/24/25 but we have SOOOOOOO much work to do! The single we’re is using These Voices, one of my favorites off the ep. We might release another one in the next couple of months but we’re not sure yet.
I love that we’re finally putting out new music. It’s been long awaited.
This Ep was written during Pandemic 2019. We waited to release these tracks because we didn’t have the funding to do so and the timing wasn’t right. Fast forward to this present day, it seems to be a rinse and repeat of struggles of life and the strength that is needed.
Songs like “ Loose Strings & Anthem “ off the Rid the Fear, really help me to release the madness of the world. It touches on sensitive issues of the media that was drowning us.
We’re generally a Long Island band but as time moved on so did members. Scheduling was a true challenge and show of commitment w all of us. Somehow we made it work.
I HATE SOCIAL MEDIA! LOL I rather be out in the mix showing the live show! I will admit it does have its advantages. I’m starting to get the hang of things. As for using it to build our fan base, it definitely helps.
Honestly, everything is enjoyable, otherwise I don’t think I’d still be doing it. It’s a job for sure…
Take a listen to the jams and tell people about us. That’s if you like us, lol.
It might sound corny but I like walks on the beach, chillin with friends and good people. Exercising is a good way to release some pent up frustrations ( which I’m about to do after this interview ).
