According to the statement, the CDS also paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Adamawa state, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

According to the CDS, the visit was aimed at assessing the operational readiness of troops, understanding their challenges, and identifying areas requiring additional support.

Speaking at the Adamawa Government House, General Musa commended the federal government for its continued support to the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN), noting that such backing has significantly improved operational outcomes.

Also the CDS thanked the Governor for his continued support to members of the Armed Forces and families of victims.

He noted that while both are important, the non-kinetic approach often yields more sustainable outcomes.

General Musa highlighted the strong link between development and security, stating that when citizens benefit directly from governance, they are more likely to support and protect the system.
He identified poverty and illiteracy as major drivers of insecurity, pointing out that vulnerable populations are more easily recruited into insurgent groups.

He also commended the people of Adamawa state for maintaining relative peace in spite of security challenges across the country.

In his response, Fintiri expressed the state government’s commitment to supporting the Armed Forces with tactical, strategic, and logistical resources to bolster ongoing operations.
He noted an uptick in terrorist activity within the state and reiterated the importance of a robust military presence. He also thanked CDS for establishing sector 4 in the state.
The Governor also disclosed that he has directed that all roads in Gibson Jalo Barracks be rehabilitated and announced the recruitment of local hunters to support the military in combating insecurity.

Meanwhile, addressing troops within the operational area, the CDS announced plans to construct additional barracks and increase military presence in the state in response to emerging threats identified in the region.

General Musa thanked the troops for their resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment.
In addition, the Commander 23 Brigade (Bde) Brigadier General OA Agwu briefed the CDS on the operational activities of his area of operations.
In his response, the CDS commended the officers and soldiers of 23 Bde for improving the peace in the area.
