Inquests have opened into the deaths of a father and his 10-year-old daughter in a caravan fire at a seaside holiday resort.

, from Retford in Nottinghamshire, were staying at the Golden Beach holiday park in Ingoldmells, near Skegness, Lincolnshire, when 5 April.

They died at the scene.

Inquests opened at Greater Lincolnshire Coroner’s Court on Monday.

Coroner Paul Smith said the cause of their deaths was "inhalation of products of combustion".

The inquests were adjourned, with a further hearing scheduled for 5 October.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service has previously said the fire was accidental and had not been caused by an electrical fault.
