Indian Stars Salute Forces After 'Operation Sindoor' Strikes Pakistan

In a decisive and strategic move, the Indian armed forces launched "Operation Sindoor" in the early hours of Wednesday, executing precision missile strikes on nine identified terror targets across Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. These strikes were a direct and firm retaliation to the heinous terror attack that occurred on April 22 in Pahalgam, which tragically claimed the lives of 26 individuals, predominantly tourists, and sparked widespread outrage both domestically and internationally. The targets of Operation Sindoor included significant strongholds of notorious terror organizations, specifically Jaish-e-Mohammed in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba in Muridke, demonstrating India's unwavering resolve to dismantle terrorist infrastructure.
The swift and impactful response by the Indian forces garnered immense praise and support from across the nation, with prominent figures from India's sporting and entertainment fraternities leading the commendations. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar eloquently expressed the national sentiment, posting on 'X': "Fearless in unity. Boundless in strength. India's shield is her people. There's no room for terrorism in this world. We're ONE TEAM! Jai Hind." His sentiments were echoed by fellow cricketers such as Virender Sehwag, who humorously yet pointedly remarked, "Agar koi aap par patthar phenke toh uspar Phool Phenko, Lekin Gamle ke saath (If someone throws stones at you then respond with flowers but not without the pots they are planted in). Jai Hind," and Shikhar Dhawan, who simply stated, "India takes a stand against terrorism." Irfan Pathan and badminton ace Saina Nehwal also tweeted their support with "Jai Hind."
The wave of national pride and unity extended to other sports personalities, including Olympic bronze medalist boxer Vijender Singh and wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt, who praised the retaliatory strikes, with Vijender declaring, "Bharat Mata ki Jai," and Yogeshwar adding, "India's zero tolerance towards terrorism!! Jai Hind - Jai Jawan #sindoor." Chess master Vidith Gujrathi highlighted the necessity of such actions, stating, "I am glad India responded firmly with Operation Sindoor after the horrific Pahalgam attack. Terrorism must never go unanswered. And what a beautiful name for the operation. Bharat Mata ki Jai!"
Bollywood and the film industry also united in their appreciation for the armed forces. Actors Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut, Allu Arjun, and Suniel Shetty were among many who lauded the precision strikes. Akshay Kumar captioned a post with 'Operation Sindoor' as "Jai Hind. Jai Mahakaal." Kangana Ranaut, a BJP MP, reiterated the government's "zero tolerance" stance on terrorism, stating, "May god protect those who protect us. Wishing our forces safety and success. #operationsindoor." "Pushpa" star Allu Arjun conveyed, "May justice be served. Jai Hind #OperationSindoor," a sentiment shared by Tollywood's megastar and Jr NTR, who prayed for the "safety & strength of our Indian Army." Suniel Shetty firmly stated, "Zero tolerance. Total justice. #OperationSindoor," emphasizing the global rejection of terror.
Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur noted that India's response showcased its responsibility and confidence, asserting that "Without the rhetoric of War #operation_sindoor is a precise hit at territories and organisation that backed the horrendous terrorists that killed innocent civilians." Other notable film personalities like Riteish Deshmukh, Madhur Bhandarkar, Nimrat Kaur (whose father was an Indian Army officer), Anupam Kher, and singer Adnan Sami also shared messages of support, unity, and patriotism, consistently using phrases like "Jai Hind," "Vande Mataram," and "Bharat Mata Ki Jai." This unified national front underscores the collective resolve against terrorism, a sentiment that had been empowered by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's directive on April 29, granting the armed forces "complete operational freedom" to determine the mode, targets, and timing of their response to the Pahalgam attack.
