'If I had a cane, I would've lashed him' - Kwame Dadzie criticises Beeztrap's TGMA performance
Kwame Dadzie has expressed disappointment in Beeztrap's performance at the TGMAs
Entertainment pundit and media personality Kwame Dadzie has expressed disappointment in Beeztrap’s performance at the 26th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), despite the artiste winning the “Best New Artiste of the Year” award.
Speaking on Joy Prime TV during a post-event review of the 2025 TGMAs, Kwame Dadzie revealed that he had high expectations for the young artiste, given his admiration for Beeztrap’s music and artistry.
However, he said he was left unimpressed by what he described as a disorganised and underwhelming live performance.
“If I had a cane, I would’ve lashed Beeztrap. The way I believe in that guy, how much I like his craft, and with that poor performance on the night, it was disappointing,” he said.
Kwame Dadzie further explained that Beeztrap’s delivery lacked clarity and direction, leaving the audience unsure about the intent of his performance.
“New Artiste of the Year, and he was performing live, I didn’t know whether he wanted to rap or sing. Everything was all over the place, and that wasn’t a good performance,” he stated.
Beeztrap was awarded Best New Artiste of the Year on the night, beating out notable rising talents such as Lali x Lola, Arathejay, Kwesi Amewuga, Team Eternity Ghana, and Rap Fada.
