'I'mma Keep It Gangster With Her, She Flopped': Angel Reese Accused Of 'Flopping' During Caitlin Clark On-Court Drama By Ex-NBA Player
Just two days into the 2025 WNBA season, Angel Reese is already at the center of controversy — this time over a flagrant foul committed by Caitlin Clark in their season opener between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky.
While the foul has sparked a wave of debate across social media, former NBA All-Star and 2015 champion Jeff Teague isn’t buying into the outrage. On a recent episode of the “Club 520” podcast, Teague gave his unfiltered take, calling out what he saw as an overreaction from Reese.
“I’mma keep it gangster with her — she flopped,” Teague said bluntly. “I like Angel Reese, but that’s a flop. Like (Clark) just reached down and hit the ball. She ain’t push you afterward. She can’t let you make a layup, though.”
Teague clarified that while he respects Reese, he doesn’t believe the narrative of a fiery rivalry with Clark holds much water.
“It’s just basketball,” he added, referring to what should have been treated as a routine foul rather than a drama-filled incident.
That drama, however, quickly spiraled on social media. Former NFL stars Ryan Clark and Robert Griffin III were among those who publicly criticized Caitlin Clark’s actions, adding more fuel to the fire. Clark, for her part, seemed surprised by the fallout, calling it a basketball play and expressing confusion over the flagrant foul call.
Reese herself appeared to agree, urging everyone to move on — but the internet hasn’t let go that easily.
While the spotlight remains on Caitlin Clark’s foul, Jeff Teague’s podcast co-hosts, DJ Wells and Brandon Hendricks, brought attention to a key moment that happened just before.

According to them, Reese appeared to push Fever forward Natasha Howard in the back while scrambling for a loose ball — a foul that went uncalled. Clark even looked to the referees for a whistle before taking matters into her own hands by committing a foul to stop the play.

The moment has sparked more comparisons online, with fans highlighting several past instances where Clark endured harder hits without drawing flagrant calls. As the debate continues, the WNBA’s most-watched rivalry is already turning into the season’s biggest storyline.
