"I gotta throw Sebastian under the bus": A Cranky Sebastian Stan Made a Lot of Changes to

Published 2 weeks ago3 minute read

Even though Marvel movies might sometimes be underwhelming and not up to expectations, one of the best things about them is the behind-the-scenes chemistry among actors. More of a family than a group of actors working together, the same can be said for the cast of Thunderbolts*.

Their camaraderie and adoration for each other can be best seen in the many interviews of the cast during the promotional leg of the film. From teasing to singing praises of each other, they have been nothing but funny and warm towards one another. In an interview, David Harbour had no problem throwing Sebastian Stan under the bus when asked about who was the biggest menace on set.

Thunderbolts* is the first time that the paths of David Harbour‘s Red Guardian/Alexei Shostakov and Sebastian Stan‘s Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes have crossed. In the teasers and trailers of the film, one can see that the two do not often see eye to eye, and things end up becoming tense.

However, behind the scenes, Stranger Things-famed star David Harbour was left impressed by his co-star Stan. When BuzzFeed asked the cast who was the biggest menace, he joked, while also revealing something surprising.

Any chance I get, because I am jealous of how talented and attractive he is. I gotta throw Sebastian Stan under the bus. He would sometimes show up and be very cranky about the way a scene looked and we’d have to stop & go back and work on it. Looking back it was great because we improved the movie every time it happened.

While it is true that the Oscar-nominated actor is pretty talented, it is surprising to know that he would have made so many changes to Thunderbolts*. Ultimately, it is this blend of talent and camaraderie that not only enhances any film or artistic project, for that matter but also makes the journey of creating it truly unforgettable for everyone involved.

While David Harbour ended up naming his co-star Sebastian Stan as the biggest menace on set hilariously out of jealousy, one Thunderbolts* star believed Harbour was the biggest menace on set. Australian actress Geraldine Viswanathan plays the role of Mel, the assistant to Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.

Vishwanathan, who could possibly be MCU’s Songbird, recently sat down with BuzzFeed to discuss her Marvel role. When she was asked the same question of who is the biggest menace, she candidly remarked:

I feel like everyone was pretty well-behaved because it was so scary when you mess up and they have to reset. But I think David Harbour is a big crack up and I think was cracking up the team. So, he might win the award for biggest menace.

Well, it is hilarious to know all these different accounts of what transpired on the sets of Thunderbolts*. From the playful banter to their camaraderie, Marvel’s latest promises to be an exciting addition to the Marvel universe and we can’t wait to see where it all leads.
