Wyatt Russell Jokes Marvel Holds “A Knife To Your Neck” To Keep ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Secrets

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe enters Phase Six, the stakes have never been higher, onscreen and off.

With a year until Avengers: Doomsday hits the big screen on May 1, 2026, MCU stars Wyatt Russell and David Harbour recently revealed the pressure they’re under to keep a tight lid on spoilers for the upcoming movie while promoting Thunderbolts*.

“Media training for Doomsday is they just hold a knife to your neck and said ‘You say anything, and it’s over,'” Russell told ComicBook. He reprises his role as John Walker/US Agent in Thunderbolts*, premiering May 2 in theaters.

Harbour, who is back as Alexei Shostakov, teased, “It’s the most terrifying stunt imaginable, doing a bunch of interviews where they go, ‘So we hear you’re in Doomsday?’ and he’s just like harnessed up.”
