Hyundai's range topping Ioniq 9 EV priced from £65k | Manufacturer News
Hyundai has opened orders for its largest electric vehicle yet, the new Ioniq 9 SUV, offering up to 385 miles of range and prices starting from £64,995.
The premium seven-seat EV will arrive in UK showrooms later this year and goes head to head with premium rivals like the Volvo EX90, BMW iX and Polestar 3.
Built on Hyundai’s E-GMP electric platform, the Ioniq 9 features a 113kWh battery and is available in rear-wheel-drive, all-wheel-drive and high-performance variants.
The RWD model produces 218PS and delivers the maximum 385-mile range (WLTP). The AWD version increases power to 307PS, with a 376-mile range.
A Performance variant offers 427PS and can travel up to 372 miles on a single charge.
Fast charging capability comes as standard, with 800V architecture enabling a 10 to 80% charge in just 24 minutes using a 350kW charger. All versions include a heat pump, battery conditioning and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology.
Inside, the Ioniq 9 offers a six- or seven-seat layout, a sliding centre console and a focus on practicality, with up to 908 litres of boot space when the third row is folded flat.
Entry-level Premium models include 19-inch alloys, LED headlights, heated and ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. The Ultimate adds 20-inch wheels, panoramic sunroof, ventilated second-row seats and a Bose premium sound system.
The range-topping Calligraphy version starts from £75,795 and features 21-inch wheels, Nappa leather, and a UVC Sterilisation Tray. A six-seat option with rotating second-row chairs is also available.
UK deliveries are expected to begin before the end of 2025.
