Published 2 weeks ago3 minute read

The Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks Show is back with a bang this year, featuring a star-studded lineup of performances to take place as the sky lights up.

The 49th annual event returns this year with a 25-minute showcase, kicking off at 8 p.m. on Friday, July 4. According to the official website, this year’s display will boast 80,000 firework shells and 11 never-before-seen pyrotechnic effects, including a“crackling crown jellyfish,” “atomic rings,” “yellow and green sunbursts,” “strobing lemon cascades” and “comet fans.”

Thankfully, with the help of the internet, you don’t have to be based in the city to enjoy the shows. And even if you are, you can avoid the hectic crowds by streaming the entire show from your laptop or TV.

As always, NBC will be airing the “Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular,” hosted by Ariana DeBose. The high-wattage event will feature performances by the Jonas Brothers, Lenny Kravitz, Keke Palmer, Eric Church and Ava Max. The two-hour festivities will broadcast live on NBC starting at 8 p.m. ET, with an encore presentation airing again at 10 p.m.

But if you don’t have cable, you can access the NBC show on a variety of streamers. Here are the best places to watch Macy’s annual Fourth of July Fireworks Show, from NBC’s streaming service Peacock to DirecTV Stream.
