How Meghan Markle And Kate Middleton's Approaches To Being Taught The Rules Of Royal Life Were Vastly Different
Sophie is married to the Queen’s youngest son, Prince Edward. Sophie and Edward endured their fair share of scrutiny and scandal. Edward was involved in theater and television production, while Sophie enjoyed success in her PR business.
The scandal they precipitated occurred when Sophie was tricked by an undercover reporter posing as a potential client, who duped her into saying some incriminating things about the royal family.
It created a firestorm, which infuriated the Queen. Not to mention Prince Edward’s royal embarrassment, “It’s a Royal Knockout,” which humiliated the monarchy.

The Palace Staff described her as
“someone who slowly and carefully absorbs the atmosphere of the place, the relationship between people, and the rules.”

It didn’t take long for Kate and Sophie to bond like sisters. The two of them share the same sense of humor. Sophie was also a great comfort to Kate when she was going through her cancer ordeal.
Royal experts have noted that Meghan is incredibly “self-obsessed” and “temperamental.” These negative traits are the complete opposite of Kate’s more easygoing and inquisitive personality.
Royal author Tina Brown suggests that Meghan’s “dramatic fall from grace” occurred due to her having
If Meghan hadn’t been so determined to come in and change the institution, she might have been a success in her royal role.
