How Georgina Bailey Went From 114kg to 69kgs? Her Real-Life Tips for Quick and Natural Weight Loss
To lose weight may seem like such a large task. Some of us have done diets or exercises that have not been sustained. However, it is nice to hear a true story even sometimes. Another overweight female patient is Georgina Bailey, a 31-year-old woman who, in her time, weighed 114 kilograms. She had a hard time with her health and self-confidence. Now, her weight is 69 kilograms. It was not a shortcut way to change. It concerned slow, natural transformations that are a possibility for everyone.
Georgina reports that her moment of realisation was when she recognised that her weight had a big impact on her daily life. She was constantly tired. Her joints ached, and she did not have a comfortable feeling in her skin. Georgina took an alternative route instead of running into drastic diets or vigorous exercises. She desired permanent changes that would help her feel good both in and out.
The four main things that Georgina did in order to lose weight and maintain her weight are presented below:
Georgina did not attempt to cope with everything at the same time. She started to make easy substitutions. That is, she substituted sweetened beverages with water and reduced processed snacks. She attributes this to taking one healthy step at a time: this enabled her to remain on the same track. These are only minor steps, but they have accumulated along the way.
Georgina did not make herself exercise through hard workouts, but managed to engage in a way of moving that seemed fun to her. She walked more, danced at home and did easy exercises. You do not have to gear up for marathons or waste time in the gym. She says one should just find something she likes and stick to it.
Georgina began cooking and paid attention to fresh fruit, vegetables, lean meat, and whole grains. She was taught to like food found in a near-natural state. Consuming real food allowed her to eat enough without being bothered about calories, she says.

Georgina confesses that she had some days when she felt like quitting. However, she has learnt to forgive herself and move on. Admittedly, progress is not always ideal. To always be happy about the smallest wins and not to be so hard on myself,” says the author.
The way Georgina is dealing with the issue corresponds with what science describes as effective weight loss. A study examined individuals who successfully managed to change their way of living gradually rather than subjecting themselves to hard and fast diets. It was discovered that subjects who concentrated on healthy habits such as eating whole foods and exercising had lost more than the others and prolonged the loss of weight.
It also emphasised the fact that it is important to be nice to yourself and that someone becomes a support during the process. Here you can read the entire paper. Most weight loss stories are all about the speed or drastic changes. However, the case of Georgina reveals that one should go slowly but steadily because slow wins the race. It is creating habits that suit your life and feel good with them. It is not about making decisions which you can adhere to in the short term, but in the long term as well.

The transformation of Georgina Bailey shows that changes can be real and not radical on the diet and other strenuous routines. Choosing to start small, moving in the ways you like, eating actual food, and being lenient with yourself are more than enough measures to see long-term progress. Don’t be obsessed with the idea of being perfect if you are contemplating how to lose weight.
