Horror in Tiana Bay: Greenport Man's Body Recovered by Police
Southampton Town police reported that the body of a man was recovered from Tiana Bay on Sunday afternoon. Officers from the Marine, Patrol, and Community Response units, along with detectives, were dispatched around 2:45 p.m. following a report of a body floating in the water. Upon arrival, authorities located the deceased male.
The individual has been identified as David Stetler, 38, from Greenport. Police officials have stated that, at this preliminary stage, no criminality is suspected in connection with his death. Details regarding how Stetler died or how he came to be in Tiana Bay were not immediately disclosed to the public late on Sunday.
