Horror in South Korea: Supermarket Ceiling Collapses, Dozens Injured in Daegu!

A ceiling collapse at a supermarket in Daegu, South Korea, on Saturday morning resulted in at least 38 people sustaining minor injuries. The incident occurred at approximately 10:16 a.m., prompting an immediate response from the Daegu Fire Department. In addition to the injured, 66 other individuals were safely evacuated from the facility.

Emergency personnel swiftly attended to the scene, with nine of the injured receiving treatment at local hospitals. Despite the initial count, fire department official Yoon Jong-mi indicated that while the injury toll could potentially increase, it was considered highly unlikely that anyone had suffered serious injuries. Rescuers were photographed meticulously searching through debris on the second floor of the four-story building where the collapse took place.

The exact cause of the ceiling collapse was not immediately clear and is expected to be subject to further investigation. In response to the incident, South Korean President Lee Jae Myung issued instructions to officials, urging them to prioritize rescue efforts and ensure a comprehensive and thorough response to the collapse.
