Horror in Niger: Mob Burns Woman Alive Over Alleged Blasphemy

A tragic incident unfolded in Kasuwan Garba, Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State, where a female food seller identified as Ammaye (also spelled Amaye) was lynched and set ablaze by an angry mob over alleged blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad. The event, which occurred on a Saturday evening, has been confirmed by local authorities, including the Chairman of Mariga LGA, Abbas Adamu, and the Spokesperson for the Niger State Police Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun.
According to eyewitnesses and multiple reports, the face-off began at Igwama, a nearby community, where Ammaye, who was also a Muslim and well-known as a food vendor, reportedly exchanged words with a young man said to be her nephew.
