Horror in Music World: Missing Teen Found Dead in D4vd's Car

A significant development has emerged in the case surrounding a body discovered in a 2023 Tesla registered to musician D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke. The decomposed remains, found on September 8, have now been officially identified through forensics as those of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas.
Rivas, who was last seen in April 2024 in Riverside County, had previously been reported missing. Her remains came to light when police were alerted to a "foul odor" emanating from the trunk of the impounded Tesla, which was located in the Hollywood Tow lot in Los Angeles. Officials conveyed to NBC News Los Angeles that Rivas’ remains were not intact and indicated she had been deceased for an "extended period of time." The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office provided a description of Rivas, noting her "wavy black hair," an approximate weight of 71 pounds, and a distinctive "Shhh…" tattoo on her right index finger.
In the midst of the ongoing investigation, the 20-year-old singer, D4vd, has reportedly been "fully cooperating" with authorities. Billboard has attempted to contact representatives for D4vd, the medical examiner’s office, and the LAPD for further comment regarding the case.
Coinciding with these developments, D4vd is currently engaged in his Withered World Tour across North America. He has a performance scheduled for Wednesday night, September 17, in Seattle at the Showbox SoDo, although it remains uncertain if this show will proceed as planned. Following this, the Houston-based artist has additional North American dates set for San Francisco and Los Angeles to conclude that leg of the tour. In October, D4vd is slated to embark on the European segment of his tour, with appearances planned in numerous countries including Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, the U.K., France, Switzerland, Austria, and Poland.
