The MatchDay 34 of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season played across several centers delivered a mix of crucial wins and surprise results as the season edges toward a dramatic conclusion.

In one of the most anticipated fixtures, Rivers United edged league leaders Enugu Rangers 1-0 in Port Harcourt, throwing the title race wide open. Enyimba capitalized on Rangers’ slip, beating Kwara United 2-0 in Aba to close the gap at the top.

Katsina United continued their strong home form with a 1-0 win over fierce rivals Kano Pillars in the northern derby, while Shooting Stars edged Sunshine Stars by the same scoreline in a tense Southwest clash in Ibadan.

Bendel Insurance kept their continental hopes alive with a narrow 1-0 victory over struggling Akwa United, as Heartland stunned Plateau United 2-0 to boost their survival hopes. Nasarawa United pulled off a big surprise in Makurdi, defeating Lobi Stars 2-1 in their own backyard.
