Hollywood Heartbreak: Loki Star Jack Veal Reveals Homelessness and Desperate Plea

Marvel actor Jack Veal, known for his portrayal of the younger version ofTom Hiddleston’s Loki in the Disney+ series Loki, has revealed his struggle with homelessness at the age of 17. Veal took to TikTok to share his dire situation, detailing that he has been sleeping on the streets and is currently residing in an unsafe trailer in London.
In his initial TikTok video posted on a Monday, Veal stated, "Hi. I'm a famous actor. I'm 17, and I'm homeless." He explained that he had left home due to alleged abuse, which he described as "physical violence, emotional abuse and etcetera." Veal also disclosed his personal challenges, including a difficult upbringing, struggles with mental health, and diagnoses of autism and ADHD, while also being screened for bipolar disorder and psychosis. He further added that he could not stay with his grandparents due to his grandfather being terminally unwell, leaving him with no other place to go.

Veal claimed that despite seeking help from social services and explaining his circumstances, he was "refused" assistance. He described his current living conditions in a trailer that has "smashed-in windows," lacks electricity, and is located two hours away from his work as a personal trainer, making daily commutes difficult. He showed viewers the cramped quarters, his few belongings, and the broken windows, noting it "does get chilly."
Desperate for help, Veal appealed to his fans to spread awareness, stating, "I am on my knees begging for you guys to just share this, do something, spread the message of how the government are treating kids." He emphasized that he did not seek financial donations but rather viral exposure for his story. His initial post garnered significant support, with TikTok users offering advice, well wishes, and even offers of spare bedrooms.
In a follow-up video, Veal expressed gratitude for the support, mentioning he was able to stay at a friend's place for a night. However, he stressed that his primary objective was to receive assistance from the authorities, specifically social services, to achieve "stability" in his life, rather than continually moving from place to place. On Tuesday, he returned to his trailer, noting the worsening cold and the ongoing pressure he was applying to social services.

A significant positive development occurred later on Tuesday when Veal shared tearfully but with a smile that he had received a call from social services. They expressed a desire for a meeting the following day to potentially discuss foster care, support, and accommodation. Veal attributed this breakthrough to his fans' efforts in making his appeal go viral, stating, "I don't know what you guys have done, but it's gotten out there, and it's really, really helped me, and they're taking action now." He expressed immense gratitude, promising to update his followers on the meeting's outcome, acknowledging that while there were no promises, it marked the first time accommodation had been considered for him. Beyond his role in Loki, Veal has also appeared in TV series such as The End of the F***ing World,Call the Midwife, and The Peripheral, and movies including The Corrupted and Come Away.
