Former Governor of Katsina State, Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as a leader whose life was defined by sacrifice, integrity, and commitment to the common good.

In a condolence message, Masari said he received the news of Buhari’s passing with “profound sadness and a deep sense of personal loss.”

He described the late president as a mentor, elder statesman, and leader whose contributions to Nigeria will remain indelible.

“From his early days as a disciplined and principled military leader to his emergence as a twice-elected civilian President, Muhammadu Buhari remained consistent in his values: simplicity, accountability, and service to the people,” Masari said.

The former governor noted that Buhari governed with an enduring resolve to reform Nigeria’s governance structure, strengthen institutions, and uphold the rule of law, adding that the late president believed democratic processes were the best path for Nigeria’s progress.

Masari extended his condolences to Buhari’s widow, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, his children, the entire Buhari family, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the government and people of Nigeria.

“May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, accept his noble deeds, and reward him with Aljannatul Firdaus. May Allah comfort us all as we come to terms with the death of this remarkable statesman,” he prayed.
