Hip-Hop Royalty Rocks Paris! Jay-Z Shares Stage with Justin Timberlake & Pharrell at Stade de France

Jay-Z's "Jay-Z30" tour, celebrating the 30th anniversary of his iconic "Reasonable Doubt" debut LP, continued its star-studded run with a sold-out show at Stade de France in Paris on Thursday, September 10. The event was significantly elevated by surprise appearances from several of Jay-Z's frequent collaborators, creating an unforgettable night for attendees.

One of the most anticipated moments was the arrival of Justin Timberlake, who joined Jay-Z on stage to perform their Billboard Hot 100 No. 4 hit "Holy Grail," a track from Jay-Z's "Magna Carta Holy Grail" album. Roc Nation shared dramatic backlit entrance videos and performance snaps, showcasing Timberlake in jeans, a checkerboard bandana, a black shirt, a black leather jacket, a ball cap, and dark shades. Timberlake also posted his own content from the cameo, including a video of him singing the chorus of "Holy Grail" before the beat dropped and the duo bounced in unison. Timberlake extended his stay on stage to perform his own "FutureSex/LoveSounds" ballad, "Until the End of Time," a duet originally featured with Beyoncé on the 2006 album's deluxe edition, which transformed into a full stadium sing-along.

Another prominent collaborator, Pharrell Williams, also made a special appearance. Skateboard P graced the stage to perform a medley of hits, including "Just Wanna Love U (Give It 2 Me)," "Frontin'," and "Excuse Me Miss." Dressed in light wash jeans, a red bomber jacket, and a backward leather baseball cap, Pharrell continued to energize the crowd with a rendition of "Allure" from Jay-Z's 2003 "The Black Album." The performance culminated uniquely with Pharrell singing a portion of the French national anthem a cappella, adding a local touch to the international celebration.

This Paris concert is part of a larger summer of celebration for Jay-Z. Earlier, he honored the anniversaries of "Reasonable Doubt" and the 25th anniversary of "The Blueprint" with a legendary three-night run at Yankee Stadium in New York. That series of shows was a true "embarrassment of riches," featuring an extensive list of guest artists including his wife Beyoncé, daughter Blue Ivy, Nas, Memphis Bleek, Jaz-O, Alicia Keys, Eminem, Pharrell, Slick Rick, Teyana Taylor, Jermaine Dupri, Jeezy, Usher, The-Dream, Rihanna, Swizz Beatz, Clipse, and Fat Joe & Jadakiss.

Further extending his global anniversary celebrations, Jay-Z also performed at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. These double-down shows featured appearances from actor Idris Elba, as well as Fugees members Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean, along with Sampha and Dave. The ongoing celebration is set to continue with upcoming performances at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on October 23 and 24.
