Heidi Klum Slays in Monochrome Designer Dresses and Heels for Project Runway Season 21

Published 3 weeks ago5 minute read

Fashion icon Heidi Klum will return to host Project Runway, taking the reins from her successor, Karlie Kloss, after a seven-year hiatus. She’s quite a busy woman, hosting Germany’s Next Top Model simultaneously with this comeback.

In its 21st season, Project Runway welcomes back Heidi, with Christian Siriano returning as mentor and Nina Garcia as judge. Law Roach is new to the lineup as one of the main judges. The show is set to air on Freeform this summer.

Heidi Klum has always been a force to be reckoned with in the fashion world, renowned for her timeless style and exceptional red-carpet presence. And despite having a lot on her plate, she hasn’t lost her touch, as evidenced by how she pulls off her monochrome outfits.

This time, she stunned in not one but two monochrome designer dresses with stunning heels to match. Let’s take a closer look at her outfits.

Heidi Klum’s bold and whimsical wardrobe choices consistently turn heads. She made a statement in a feathery LaPointe minidress as she made her way to the Project Runway set.

The dress, made of lightweight jersey in a dark gray or “cacao” shade, was a daring choice. Its slinky, draped fit hugged every inch of Heidi’s slender figure, accentuating her curves. The fitted silhouette, paired with the asymmetrical, wrap-like mini skirt, exuded a sultry and chic vibe, while the mock neck and long sleeves added tasteful elegance.

I especially love the dégradé ostrich feathers cascading from the skirt and sleeves, adding rich texture and visual drama. It perfectly embodies the brand’s signature flair for bold, tactile design, hallmarks of this female-founded label.

The dress is available for $2,250 at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Heidi Klum stayed true to her love for monochromatic looks by pairing her gray mini dress with black sheer tights, accentuating her long, insured legs.

She then adorned her feet in classic black suede pumps with platforms and stiletto heels, adding height to her already impressive 5’9” stature. Klum appeared to be wearing a pair of Saint Laurent pumps, specifically the “Janis” pumps.

I like how the pumps added elegance and cohesion to the outfit. They complemented Heidi’s black leather top-handle mini bag with gold-tone studs matching the rings on her manicured hands. She also wore tiny gold hoops and finished the look with sleek sunglasses, adding a touch of modernity and star power.

Her blonde tresses were styled in blown-out waves, while her soft, neutral makeup accentuated her radiant features—an effortlessly chic look she’s perfected time and again, especially in her standout Saint Laurent moments.

Heidi Klum’s fashion choices often feature iconic pieces from Saint Laurent. Here are some of her standout moments:

These moments highlight Heidi Klum’s affinity for Saint Laurent, but her fashion prowess doesn’t stop there—she continued to turn heads in yet another monochromatic look, this time pairing a romantic pink dress with bold burgundy boots.

Heidi Klum consistently stuns in her monochromatic ensembles, and a few days earlier, she stunned once again in a burgundy and pink look. She looked straight out of a magazine, wearing a feminine pink chiffon dress and an opulent burgundy coat that perfectly encapsulated her chic style.

The dreamy dress is made of subtly pleated, lightweight, and airy chiffon in a gorgeous pink color. I like how the high neckline and large pussy bow add a touch of elegance while the layers of ruffles give the dress a romantic and whimsical feel. The skirt flows gracefully down to her ankles, creating a modern and timeless silhouette.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t fully appreciate the dress’s glory, as it was partially hidden underneath a furry coat.

The coat, with its thick collar and sleeves, added warmth and depth to Heidi’s outfit while giving it a touch of opulence. It hit just above the knees, perfectly framing the dress and adding a touch of structure to the otherwise flowy outfit.

Heidi looked the epitome of monochromatic perfection. She completed her head-to-toe pink look by shielding her eyes behind Y2K-inspired rectangular sunnies with ombre pink lenses and slipping her feet into burgundy boots.

She opted for the Jeffrey Campbell “Overlook” boots, which are made of shiny patent synthetic material, giving them a glossy and chic appearance. They have an almond toe with slouchy shafts that create a laid-back, cool vibe.

The heels are pretty high, around 4 inches, but they’re thick enough to be comfortable. These boots strike a perfect balance between style and practicality, making them the ideal finishing touch to her outfit.

Her choice of a tan-colored bag with braided handles by Aigner was unexpected but chic—though a pink bag might have tied the look together more seamlessly. Still, the bold pairing reflects the kind of fearless fashion choices that define not just Heidi’s style, but also that of other celebrities who’ve embraced standout pieces from Jeffrey Campbell.

Jeffrey Campbell’s bold and boundary-pushing designs have garnered a dedicated following among celebrities. From edgy platforms to avant-garde heel-less shoes, here are some standout moments featuring Jeffrey Campbell footwear:
