Heartbreaking Plea: Loki Star Jack Veal, 17, Reveals Homelessness to Fans

Jack Veal, the 17-year-old actor known for playing the younger version of Loki in the Disney+ series, recently appealed for help on social media after becoming homeless. In a series of TikTok videos, Veal revealed his dire situation, stating he had been sleeping on the streets and was currently living in an unsafe trailer in London with smashed windows and no electricity. He explained that he left home due to alleged physical and emotional abuse and also disclosed his struggles with mental health, including autism, ADHD, and being screened for bipolar disorder and psychosis. Veal, who is currently employed as a personal trainer, shared the difficulties of commuting two hours to work daily from his trailer.
Despite seeking assistance from social services, Veal initially claimed he was refused help, prompting his desperate plea to his followers to share his story and raise awareness about how the government is treating young people in similar situations. He showed viewers the cramped, chilly conditions of his trailer, where he stored his few belongings and used a portable charger for power. His initial video garnered a significant outpouring of support from TikTok users, who offered advice, shared personal experiences, and even extended offers for him to stay in their spare bedrooms.
In follow-up videos, Veal expressed gratitude for the public's support, noting he was able to stay at a friend's place for one night. However, he emphasized that his primary objective was to receive stable, long-term support from social services rather than hopping from place to place. He explained that stability was crucial for his situation. A significant positive development occurred when Veal shared, teary-eyed, that social services had contacted him for a meeting to potentially arrange foster care and accommodation. He credited his followers' efforts for making his appeal go viral and prompting official action, expressing immense gratitude for their help in getting authorities to consider his need for accommodation for the first time.
Beyond his role in Marvel's Loki, Jack Veal has an acting career that includes appearances in other television series such as "The End of the F***ing World," "Call the Midwife," and "Tin Cup." He has also featured in films like "The Corrupted" and "Come Away," and was last seen in the 2022 Amazon Prime Video show "The Peripheral," starring Chloe Grace Moretz.
