HAIM Star Este Haim Kicks Off New Year With Fairytale Wedding!

Este Haim, the accomplished bassist of the renowned sister trio Haim, and tech entrepreneur Jonathan Levin, recently celebrated their union in a captivating wedding ceremony held in California on New Year’s Eve. This momentous occasion, marking a significant personal milestone for Este, was a day she had envisioned since the tender age of five, as she shared with Vogue during her final dress fitting at Louis Vuitton.

Este’s childhood dreams of her wedding day were vividly inspired by scenes like Cinderella, where she imagined herself descending a grand spiral staircase in an opulent ballroom gown to meet her husband. Her romantic wedding dress was a bespoke creation by her close friend Nicolas Ghesquière, the women’s creative director at Louis Vuitton. In addition to her main gown, Este also had two alternate designs prepared to wear during the reception and after-party, ensuring a stylish transition throughout the celebration.

The guest list for the couple’s big day featured several prominent figures from the music world. Superstar Taylor Swift and legendary artist Stevie Nicks were among those in attendance, both spotted by paparazzi from a distance. Taylor Swift, a long-time and close friend to Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim, donned a formal, gold-sequinned gown fitting for the New Year’s Eve gala atmosphere. Swift and the Haim sisters have a history of musical collaboration, notably on tracks such as “No Body, No Crime” from Swift’s album *Evermore* and “Gasoline” from the expanded edition of Haim’s *Women in Music, Pt. III*. Interestingly, Swift’s fiancé, Travis Kelce, was not seen in any images from the wedding.

Stevie Nicks also graced the celebration, deepening her connection with the Haim sisters. While their musical collaboration is yet to be publicly released, Alana Haim has previously praised Nicks as “the greatest human being on this planet,” with Danielle teasing that “the song is really good.” Nicks’ ties to this musical circle extend further, as her name is referenced in the lyrics of Swift’s song “Clara Bow,” and she also penned a poem that was featured on the album art for Taylor Swift’s album, *The Tortured Poets Department*.

Jonathan Levin’s proposal to Este occurred on December 22, 2024, during a hike, catching the bride-to-be completely by surprise. Este recounted the humorous details of the mid-hike proposal, admitting she was in a very casual state – wearing Mario Badescu acne medication, her hair in a top knot, no makeup, sweats, and sneakers. Her joyous screams of excitement even prompted fellow hikers to take their picture. Este’s engagement was publicly announced in February with a playful Instagram post where she revealed she was “TAKEN.”

This wedding marks a significant milestone for the Haim family, as Este is the first of the three sisters to marry. In other news concerning the band, Haim’s latest studio album, *I Quit*, which was released in July, achieved notable success on the charts, reaching No. 2 on the Top Rock Albums chart, No. 3 on Top Alternative Albums, and No. 25 on the all-genre Billboard 200.
