Hollywood is gearing up for one of its biggest nights, the Golden Globe Awards, with extensive pre-show coverage and a returning host. Variety, in partnership with Fire TV, will kick off the festivities with its annual Golden Globes Red Carpet Pre-Show on January 11. Hosted by Variety's Angelique Jackson and Marc Malkin, the pre-show promises exclusive access, interviews, and real-time coverage from the red carpet. It will be available for free on Fire TV home screens, Echo Show, Fire Tablet devices, Variety’s YouTube channel, and Variety.com, starting at 3:30 p.m. PT / 6:30 p.m. ET. A new segment, presented by Fire TV, will spotlight first-time Golden Globe nominees, celebrating rising talent and breakout performances. Comedian Nikki Glaser is returning for her second consecutive run as host of the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, following a successful inaugural performance last year that garnered an average of 10.23 million viewers, placing the ceremony among the year’s top 100 telecasts. The Dick Clark Productions-helmed event is scheduled for this Sunday at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on CBS.
