At the ‘Move The Chains’ episode of the ‘1st & 10’ podcast show, the San Francisco 49ers’ TE was asked, “You started a tradition of hosting military families at the Niners game. When did the tradition start and why is it important for you to keep it going?”
George responded, “We started in 2021. We’ve always wanted to give back to the military. There was a time when we sent a family to the Super Bowl through the Niners military family. We have done over 400 tickets on the road, at home, and in playoffs. Football can be such a fun experience. Kids have so much fun.
Everybody loves watching football, so we’re just trying to give them something fun to do on the weekend. But also show them, how big of a fan we’re of them and how much we support them.”
The host of the podcast show asked,
“You and your entire Kittle family treat these families to a 49ers experience. What do you think these families take away from it and what do you take away from these moments?”
George humbly replied,
“All I hope they take away from it is they have support from everybody in the 49ers organization. What I take back is being able to give back just a little bit, like a football ticket.
They need more people to go out of their way to support them. That’s all I really care about is giving that extra support and the fact that my family has my back doing it makes it feel even better.”
