Future Unleashed: 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE Redefines Power and Presence with Next-Gen Tech
Mercedes-Benz introduces a comprehensive midcycle update for its 2027 GLE, GLE Coupe, and AMG 53 HYBRID models, promising more power, advanced technology, and a refined presence. Highlights include the standard MBUX Superscreen, a new AI-powered virtual assistant, and significant exterior and interior design enhancements. The update aims to elevate the luxury midsize SUV's appeal with a blend of innovation and comfort.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE has received a much-needed revamp. Despite the automaker giving the SUV a mid-cycle refresh for 2024, it is already looking dated.
That will change soon when the new GLE goes on sale, which arrives with a fresh design, a tweaked interior, and updated powertrains.
At the top of the range will be the 2027 GLE 580 4Matic, which features a revamped twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter mild-hybrid V8 engine.
It now makes 530 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque, up from 510 hp and 538 lb-ft, respectively.
The 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE puts the iconic star front and center. Star-shaped daytime lights, a glowing emblem, and a subtle star-patterned grille give it a bold new look.
The AMG GLE 53 ups the aggression with a sportier grille, bigger air intakes, and a hybrid inline-six engine.
Standard GLEs get 20-inch wheels, AMG 53 gets 22-inch. Star-themed taillights and the Coupe’s fastback shape add a sporty finish, while the AMG 53’s twin tailpipes deliver a louder, more thrilling exhaust.
The 2027 Mercedes GLE gets a futuristic cabin with the new MBUX Superscreen. This single glass panel combines three 12.3-inch screens, for the driver, infotainment, and front passenger—giving the dashboard a clean, high-tech look.
It runs on Mercedes’ new MB.OS system, which updates itself over the air, and the AI assistant can browse the web, have multi-step conversations, and even use three fun avatars.
In the AMG 53, there’s a special performance display, and navigation is powered by Google Maps.
The Superscreen comes standard on all models. Passengers can even watch YouTube while moving, but a smart camera dims the screen if the driver looks distracted.
The result: a cabin that feels both modern and incredibly smart.
Beyond the advanced infotainment, the 2027 Mercedes GLE blends luxury, tech, and style. Its new augmented reality head-up display shows directions right on the windshield.
Inside, sleek vents flow into the big Superscreen, and upgrades like Beech Brown leather and sporty trim options make the cabin feel premium.
