Le Mans Sarthe Basket (Betclic ELITE ProA) inked 28-year old American 190cm shooting guard Shannon Bogues (college: SF Austin) for upcoming season. He joins another USA player David DiLeo who is already in the roster.
He played most recently at Gries-Souffel in the ProB. In 46 games he recorded very impressive stats: 17.7ppg, 3.1rpg, 3.0apg and 1.0spg last season. He helped them to make it to the French ProB Play-Offs final. Great season indeed as he was awarded Eurobasket.com All-French ProB Import Player of the Year, Guard of the Year and voted to All-Defensive Team.
The previous (2024) summer he played at Zip Em Up (Xavier Alumni) in U.S. semi-pro league The Basketball Tournament.
In 2019 Wisconsin Herd selected him as third overall pick in G-League draft.
The former Stephen F. Austin State University star is in his seventh season in pro basketball.
He is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Cyprus (Apollon), Germany (Chemnitz), Hungary (Duna Aszfalt), Poland (GTK), Switzerland (Massagno), The Basketball Tournament (Sideline Cancer), NBA G League (Capital City Go-Go) and ABA (Texas Seraphim).
Bogues' team won Swiss League Cup in 2023. Bogues played also for McLennan Community College for 2 years.
