Aix-Maurienne Savoie Basket (ProB) signed 29-year old Spanish forward Sean Smith (204cm-88kg-1995, college: St. Cloud State, agency: BIG) for the upcoming 2025-26 season. He is the second foreign player in the roster, as Congolese Rigo Edzata signed here earlier. Smith was the best rebounder at Cherno More in the Bulgarian NBL league. In 25 games, he had 12.2ppg, 9.2rpg, 3.3apg, 1.4spg, and 1.6bpg. He helped them win the cup and make it to the league final. In the 2024-25 season, he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Bulgarian League Bosman Player of the Year, Eurobasket.com All-Bulgarian League Defensive Player of the Year, and Forward of the Year. The previous (2023-24) season, he played for another Bulgarian team, Chernomorets Burgas (also in NBL).
He has played professionally in Spain between Estudiantes, Tenerife, Zunder Palencia, and Coruna.
Smith won the Basketball League championship title in 2022.
He graduated from St. Cloud State in 2019 and it will be his seventh season as a professional player. Smith played also for Southwest Mississippi Community College for 2 years.
