FRA at this year's Computers, Privacy and Data Protection conference | European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights

The panel will look at opportunities and challenges ahead. It takes place on 21 May 2025 from 11:50 - 13:05. 

The panel, which will be chaired by the Head of the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission, Alyson Kilpatrick. It will bring together FRA Director, Sirpa Rautio, Kilian Gross from the European Commission’s AI Office, Council of Europe Director Hanne Juncher, and the European Data Protection Supervisor, Wojciech Wiewiórowski. They will discuss ways ahead and the relevance of fundamental rights assessments to protect European values when using AI. 

In addition, FRA will speak at a panel on ‘From Principles to Practice: The Role of Fundamental Rights and Ethics Assessment in the Review Process of EU-Funded Projects’ on 23 May from 10:30 - 11:45.

FRA will also have a booth at the conference, which the participants are invited to visit.
