Former Laker Trevor Ariza's Accused of Spiraling 'Out of Control' by Ex-Wife | In Touch Weekly

Former Los Angeles Lakers star ’s ex-wife, , rushed to court to object to his recent custody demand and appeared to question his claims of financial hardship, In Touch can exclusively report.

On Tuesday, March 18, Bree submitted a declaration, obtained by In Touch, blasting Trevor’s plea to reduce the $10,000 a month he pays in child support.

Bree claimed that she has not received child support since April 2024. “I have had to rely on help from family and friends to make means of living for me and my children,” Bree said. “I am currently enrolled in school and achieving my license in real estate.”

Bree admitted their son Tristan has been staying with Trevor, but said she has concerns due to her ex’s “aggression.”

She claimed Trevor also had his girlfriend violate their daughter’s space in August 2024, which “created an extreme fear when she goes to his home.”

Bree claimed Trevor “laughs at our divorce agreement” and claimed he “continues to slander my name … on his social media platforms.”

Bree and Trevor wed in 2018 and split in 2022. The duo went back and forth in court for months before reaching a settlement in January 2024.

Per their deal, they agreed to share joint legal and physical custody of their two children: a son, Tristan, and a daughter, Taylor.

Trevor agreed to pay Bree $10,000 a month in child support and a one-time lump sum of $664,000 in exchange for her dropping request for monthly spousal support payments.

As In Touch first reported, last month, Trevor filed a petition to modify the custody arrangement.

The ex-NBA star, who played in the league from 2004 to 2021, asked for primary custody of Tristan.

“Other parent has not complied with court order and does not pick the child up on ordered days,” Trevor claimed in his filing.

Trevor said, “She does not pick him up on her designated days, nor does she make an effort to have any meaningful relationship with him. Instead, I have assumed full responsibility for his care, which includes providing a stable home, meals, clothing, transportation and other necessities.”

“I cover all needs including food, shelter, clothing, education and all medical care. The child does not have a relationship with the other parent,” he added.

Trevor ended, “Child has been with me for over a year. Mom only text and calls occasionally.” He also claimed Bree blocked him from having contact or a relationship with Taylor. He also revealed his dire financial situation in the court battle.

Trevor, who earned over $116 million during his NBA career, said since the child support order was entered there has been a “material change” in their custodial arrangement that “significantly impacts my financial obligations.

He said since leaving the NBA, despite his best efforts, he has not “been able to secure consistent or significant income.”

Trevor told the court, “The financial landscape for retired athletes is highly competitive, and my previous source of income have been depleted faster than anticipated. Due to my inability to secure steady income, I have been forced to rely on withdrawals from my retirement savings to meet my everyday living expenses and financial obligations.”

He added, “The financial hardship I am experiencing is significant, and I am struggling to maintain the current support payments while also providing for my own living expenses and that of our son.”

Trevor asked that the child support be modified to reflect Tristan is living with him.

In her response, Bree claimed that Trevor does not encourage their son to spend time with her or anyone in her family. “[Trevor’s] behavior has spiraled out of control and I am still afraid of him,” Bree said.

Bree and Trevor each accused the other of getting physical during the divorce. Both denied the claims.

Following Trevor’s claim of hardship, Bree said, “[Trevor] has been traveling to different countries and travels nationally often on what he claims is a drastic financial change. [Trevor] also has multiple businesses and recently, this month, obtained his retirement payout.”

She added, “[Trevor] has thoroughly disrespected and disregarded the terms of every agreement in our divorce decree and continues to bully myself and my daughter, while praising Tristan and attempting to turn him against myself and my family.”

Bree demanded she keep joint custody of Tristan and be awarded primary custody of Taylor.

A judge has yet to rule on the matter.
