Food Truck Alley Highlights New Additions To American Family Field
Popular Milwaukee-area food trucks will offer new concession options for fans attending Brewers ... More games at American Family Field this summer.
Milwaukee BrewersFans will have plenty of new food options to choose from when the Milwaukee Brewers return to American Family Field Monday to open the home portion of their 2025 schedule.
The team has revamped a portion of the loge level concourse in left field to create “The Alley,” which will feture offerings from four popular, Milwaukee-area food truck vendors.
“We are continually exploring ways to create and enhance the ballpark experience for our fans,” Brewers president of business of operations Rick Schlesinger said. “With the addition of The Alley Food Truck Park to American Family Field, fans will be able to enjoy specialty offerings from local food truck vendors and a unique space to gather at the ballpark.”
Among the offerings: brirria tacos, burritos, quesitacos and churros from Chuchos Red Tacos, grilled ham and cheese, cubano and steak sandwiches, as well as reuben rolls from Hidden Kitchen MKE; parmesan truffle fries, pepperoni or sausage calzones and hot italian beef sandwiches from Nadi Plates and a variety of gelato flavors from Baron’s Gelato Cart as well as a new bar area.
In addition to those new vendors, the 3rd Street Market Hall Annex is adding Creta Mediterranean Grill to its collection of food stands from Milwaukee-area restaurants.
“It appeals to fans who want nontraditional kind of ballpark fare, but they want local food and fresh food,” Schlesinger said.
Existing stands at the ballpark have added new menu items for 2025 including specially-topped hot dogs, two new chicken sandwiches (southern and creole) and chicken Jambalya as well as a double gouda cheeseburger with onions and ranch on a potato bun.
“We collaborate closely with the Brewers and Blackshoe Hospitality during the offseason to design exciting new items that fans will love,” Kevin Jezewski, Delaware North’s American Family Field general manager said. “Our goal is to create a memorable and enjoyable experience for fans of all ages — and a lot of that revolves around great ballpark food."
Beyond food and drink offerings, there are other changes in store for 2025:
The Brewers announced in February that they would be taking part in Major League Baseball’s facial authenticaion-based ticket validation system which the team believes will help speed up the entry process.
Participation is voluntary and fans will still be able to enter the ballpark the old-fashioned way with scannable tickets but those who do opt to utilize the new technology can do so by submitting a live selfie in the MLB Ballpark App. Once enrolled, fans will enter through one of the designated Go-Ahead Entry gates (located behind home plate west and third base gates), though they will still need to go through the usual security-screening process.
The technology should be especially helpful for groups; only one member of the party needs to be enrolled for the entire group to enter the ballpark provided all the group’s tickets are on that person’s MLB Ballpark account.
Photos submitted into the app will be deleted. Instead, the biometric data collected from the photo will be used to create a numerical token that is retained by the App and fans who do opt-in to the program are also free to unenroll at any time.
Team officials said that at participating ballparks last season, fans using Go-Ahead Entry got into the park 2.5 times faster than those using the traditional entry method.
American Family Field is one of nine MLB parks to use the technology this season.
The Brewers gave their Home Plate Team Store a refresh during the offseason, expanding the footprint to offer more vareity and adding customization counter where fans can have jersey purchases personalized.
Among the new items for sale this season is a line of merchandise honoring longtime Brewers radio announcer Bob Uecker, who passed away in January at the age of 90.
The team will sell a variety of items honoring Uecker, who began broadcasting Brewers games in 1971 and remained behind the mic through the end of last season. A portion of the proceeds from Uecker-branded merchandise will be donated to charites that Uecker and his family supported.
“We’re still dealing with the fact that the legend, the icon, the epitome of Brewers baseball is no longer with us,” Schlesinger said. “We’re going to do a number of things to honor his memory on Opening Day and throughout the season. We’re still putting together plans for a celebration of life event at the ballpark later this summer for all the fans to come and share great memories, treasured moments and just celebrate Bob Uecker – the person, the legend, the man, the icon.”
Fans using rideshare apps to get to and from games will get dropped off and picked up in a new location this season.
The Brewers have moved their rideshare lot to the south end of the Molitor Lot, located a short walk from the stadium on the north side of I-94 from it’s previous location on the east side of the stadium.
Drivers can access the new lot from Bluemound Road and Yount Drive and will find greater capacity and a more expedient entry and exit process after games.
The 2025 season also offers something new for fans not attending games in person this season. Starting with Monday’s home opener, 10 Brewers games will be simulcast locally by WITI-TV in Milwaukee and over-the-air stations in Madison (WISC-TV), La Crosse-Eau Claire (WKBT-TV), Duluth-Superior (KDLH-TV, KBJR-TV) and Wausau-Rhinelander (WSAW-TV, WZAW-LD, WYOW).
After Monday, the remaining over-the-air broadcats schedule feautres Tuesday night games.
“Offering access to Brewers games and showcasing our players to as broad of an audience as possible is a high priority for us,” Schlesinger said. “This partnership with Good Karma Brands, in conjunction with FanDuel Sports Network, FOX6 and the affiliates network gives us great reach to fans throughout the television territory.
"Fans can now watch through a number of offerings, including cable or satellite, local TV, streaming through the FanDuel Sports Network app and out-of-market on MLB.TV and MLB Extra Innings. We appreciate the efforts of FanDuel Sports Network in expanding the reach of Brewers baseball on this over-the-air platform.”
