Deputy President Kithure Kindiki is seen as a front-runner following Rigathi Gachagua’s impeachment.

Other contenders include Martha Karua, who served as Raila Odinga’s running mate in 2022, and Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru.

National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro—recently ousted as Budget Chair—and seasoned politician Justin Muturi are also in the mix.
