looked at some of the most luxurious homes Kenyan governors own.

Kenyans got a glimpse of the Trans Nzoia governor’s humongous mansion recently after a raid by police and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).

The dramatic showdown happened outside Natembeya's walled compound, accessed via a black gate.

The walls are topped with barbed wire and an electric fence to keep off intruders.

The home is located in the upscale Milimani area, where the well-heeled live.

Inside the compound, there are strips of grass and decorative trees, while most areas are paved with cabro.

A glimpse of the bungalow showed that it has a black roof and is quite expansive.

The Kiambu governor had a similar tale to Natembeya, as EACC officials raided his home.

They recovered KSh 13.7 million from the house as part of an ongoing investigation into irregular procurement and fictitious payments totalling KSh 1.5 billion within the county.

A photo doing the rounds online showed Wamatangi's house set in a lush neighbourhood. The house was surrounded by a well-trimmed green fence.

The Nakuru county boss has one of the most impressive homes. In 2022, William Ruto's photographer, Naitwa Mwangi, shared breathtaking photos of the humongous mansion.

The huge mansion with European architectural design features carved blocks, a steep roof with exquisite tiles, and a circular driveway with a fountain.

It sits on a considerable piece of land with lush, well-trimmed grass.

In 2023, Governor Barasa of Kakamega county shared a photo of himself mowing the lawn, with his grand two-storey mansion visible in the background.

The house features a brown roof, decorative stone walls, a fountain, and a lion statue in the yard, while a black Toyota Prado sat in the nearby garage.

The property, located in a green, tree-filled area, is secured with a perimeter wall and barbed wire.

Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru's KSh 80 million Kitisuru mansion drew public attention after it was listed for auction over unpaid developer dues.

The two-storey home features a white and brown exterior, a neatly maintained lawn, a water fountain, and a swimming pool complemented by luxurious gazebos.

Johnson Sakaja's home is nestled in a lush area in Nairobi, surrounded by trees and well-manicured gardens.

It is accessed by a long road nestled between the trees.

The politician’s mansion is painted white. The compound is so big that his two children play football and ride dirt bikes in it.

In 2020, former Kesses MP Swarup Mishra hosted a lavish housewarming in Eldoret, attended by then-Deputy President William Ruto, who praised the grandeur of his estate .

The estate features four expansive buildings, including the main residence, set amidst meticulously manicured lawns and a paved driveway .

Inside, the mansion boasts high ceilings, ornate chandeliers, and luxurious furnishings, reflecting a blend of African and Asian influences
