Five vehicle crash sees eight injured and hours of traffic disruption

A crash involving five vehicles saw eight people injured and hours of traffic disruption today (June 7).
The incident took place between junctions 13 and 14 on the clockwise carriageway of the M60 at around midday.
Police, fire and paramedics were called to the scene and traffic was held for a significant period of time.
At its peak, delays stretched back to junction nine, with it estimated to be causing upwards of an hour of delay for motorists.

There were also significant delays on the opposite carriageway, reportedly due to onlookers.

GMP confirmed that five vehicles were involved in the crash, with eight people having suffered minor injuries.
National Highways reported just before 3pm today that the clockwise carriageway had been reopened.
