Firm commits to innovation in aviation fuel services
Asharami Synergy, a Sahara Group downstream company and leading supplier of aviation turbine kerosene (ATK), has reiterated its commitment to driving innovation, forging strong partnerships, and delivering service excellence to enhance operational efficiency, safety and sustainability in Nigeria’s aviation sector.
Speaking at the 2025 Aviation Customer Forum held in Lagos, the Chief Executive Officer of the company, Nomnso Dike, said the forum reflects the company’s strategic focus on customer-centric value delivery through collaborative engagement and operational excellence.
Dike said: “This forum is more than a touchpoint. It provides our customers and partners a platform to discuss key developments in the market and share feedback that ultimately informs our pursuit of bespoke, high-quality service entirely for the benefit of our valued clients.”
Dike described Asharami as Nigeria’s foremost aviation fuel supplier, supported by robust storage infrastructure, automated terminals, digital fuelling systems, and ISO-certified operations across quality, health, safety and environmental standards.
Themed: ‘Customer-Centric Fuelling: Meeting the Evolving Needs of Airlines’, the forum convened both local and international aviation stakeholders to examine industry trends, operational hurdles, and areas for deeper collaboration.
Emphasising the importance of the discussions, Dike added: “The conversations we hold here are vital. They offer direct insights into your pain points, expectations, and the areas where our service has met or exceeded your needs. This feedback helps refine our operations and keeps us agile, accountable, and innovative in our commitment to excellence.”
With Nigeria’s aviation sector handling over 16 million passengers yearly, Asharami noted that the forum was part of a broader strategy to ensure reliable, efficient fueling logistics that meet growing demand.
A representative of Delta Airlines, Salami Omeiza, praised advancements in fuel dispensing technology, particularly the company’s introduction of high-flow bowsers and transparent fuelling systems, which he described as “industry-leading”.
United Airlines’ Adeola Babalola, remarked: “Even at odd hours, the team remains accessible. That level of reliability is crucial to us; every second counts.”
Representative of Arik Air, Peter Ogunsanmi, said: “Our partnership with Asharami goes beyond fuel delivery; it includes strategic support. We remember the pivotal role your team played during a critical transition in our business, and we remain grateful.”
Similarly, Temitope Aderogba of Qatar Cargo commended Asharami’s rollout of digital receipts and automated processes, describing them as “a benchmark for others in the sector.”
Head of Downstream Africa at Sahara Group, Foluso Sobanjo, said the forum generated valuable feedback essential to sustaining the company’s industry leadership.
“We are always delighted to welcome you and deeply appreciate your continued trust in Asharami. At Sahara Group, innovation is not just a feature, it’s our operating system. It aligns us with stakeholder expectations, drives long-term value, and reinforces our pledge to responsibly deliver energy solutions.”
Asharami Synergy’s Chief Operating Officer, Adekanmi Adesola, highlighted the role of honest dialogue in refining operational strategy. “Strong partnerships and candid conversations are the fuel behind true efficiency. We appreciate your feedback, it guides our every move.”
