Fat to Fit in 21 Days: R Madhvan Stuns Fans With His Weight Transformation, Again!
Bollywood heartthrob, R Madhavan, best known as Maddy from Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, has once again left his fans stunned with his jaw-dropping weight loss, in just 21 days! But what has caused an online frenzy is how the actor transformed himself with “No running and No gym”.
At 55, the 3 Idiots actor has become an inspiration to many as he rolls out his non-dramatic routine to lose weight in 21 days, and the secret? No fancy diets, no gym, no running and absolutely no quick-fix surgeries or fad pills.
In an interview with Curly Tales, R Madavan revealed how he managed to shed kilos without traditional workout routines and said, “I only ate food that was good for my body. No exercise, no running, no medication, nothing!”
The ‘Aap Jaisa Koi’ actor took to his social media to elaborate his 21-day weight loss routine and quoted, “Intermittent fasting, heavy chewing of food 45-60 times (drink your food and chew your water)… last meal at 6.45 pm (only cooked food — nothing raw AT ALL post 3 pm)… early morning long walks and early night deep sleep (no screen time 90 min before bed)… plenty of fluids… lots of green vegetables and food that is easily metabolised by your body and healthy. Nothing processed at all.”
In his interview with Curly Tales, Madhavan unveiled his secret weight loss diet, and the steps include the following:
The ‘Shaitaan’ actor said he followed intermittent fasting to schedule his eating throughout the day. Intermittent fasting is a technique that focuses on fasting and fasting during a set time. This eating pattern generally involves a 16-hour fasting period and an 8-hour eating window. This results in weight loss and a healthy metabolism.
According to Madhavan’s tweet, he chewed his food (45-60 times), which helps in an active metabolism and burning calories more efficiently. This also allows for better digestion and nutrition absorption. This method, he hilariously called, “Chewing his water and drinking his food.”
During his 21-day weight loss journey, the actor only ate leafy greens, which were easy on the gut and allowed for faster metabolisation of the food. As per a National Library of Medicine study, eating green leafy vegetables increased metabolism during weight loss.
The actor only ate food that was properly cooked and restricted all raw foods after 3 pm. Moreover, cooked foods are better compared to raw foods as they enhance digestibility and nutrient bioavailability.
Processed and packaged foods are often taken as snacks and are filled with empty calories, sodium and preservatives. This can derail any weight-loss plan, and exactly why was a complete no-no for actor Maddy.
In his tweet, the actor elaborated on how he made it a habit to stop screen usage 90 minutes before sleeping. This technique is also supported by various studies advising to limit screen time 90 minutes before sleeping to get a restful sleep.
No heavy workouts, just long, refreshing walks each morning to keep metabolism steady, this was Maddy’s mantra for a successful weight loss in 21 days.
Last meal by sunset: Aligning food intake with natural rhythms, he kept his last meal well before bedtime.
