The high price point is partly attributed to its collaboration with renowned stem cell scientist Augustinus Bader, whose namesake skincare brand features products like a £105 SPF and a £435 serum. The Foundation Drops incorporate Bader’s patented TFC8 complex, a blend of vitamins, peptides, and amino acids designed to repair skin and diminish signs of ageing, such as fine lines and sagging. Victoria Beckham herself revealed the product was born from a personal need, having struggled with acne since a young age and seeking a foundation that felt weightless yet provided sufficient coverage to enhance skin appearance.

Despite a decade of trying numerous luxury beauty products, the £104 price tag for this foundation initially gave the beauty editor pause. However, motivated by Beckham's credibility in the beauty world—evidenced by her brand's £112.7 million sales last year, largely thanks to products like her £32 Satin Kajal Eyeliner—the editor proceeded with the purchase. The partnership with Bader is also seen as a strategic move to add scientific credibility, aligning with the growing popularity of time-saving, hybrid products that prioritize skin health.
