Eze Igbo Ghana celebrates Pius Anyim on new appointment by Tinubu

The Igbo diaspora king in the Republic of Ghana, His Royal Majesty, Eze Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu has congratulated former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim on his appointment as Chairman, National Merit Award Commitee by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as a true Nigerian patriot and statesman.

The monarch in a statement by his Country Director, Media Strategy and Communications, Njoku Macdonald Obinna, said: “On behalf of my family, members of Council -of – Chiefs, and the entire Igbo community in Ghana, felicitate Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim, on this well-deserved appointment as Chairman, Nigeria Merit Awards by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. I have no doubt that you shall discharge this national assignment with the diligence, transparency, and dedication expected from you having distinguished yourself in public service.

“As you settle down for this onerous task, I pray God Almighty to grant you the needed wisdom, strength, insight, and divine direction to critically implement the programmes and policies of your new office in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu led- Administration.

“Be assured, my dear leader, of the assurances of my highest esteem regard and continued support.”

Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim, born on February 19, 1961, is a Nigerian politician who served as the 9th President of the Nigerian Senate from 2000 to 2003. He was Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) during the Goodluck Jonathan Presidency.
