Explosive Epstein Scandal Resurfaces: Prince Andrew and Peter Mandelson Photo Sparks Fury and Questions for Starmer

An extraordinary image, newly released from the extensive three million-strong Epstein Files by the US Department of Justice, depicts Andrew and Mandelson dressed in crisp white bathrobes seated on either side of a fully clothed Jeffrey Epstein, believed to have been captured at a summer house in Martha's Vineyard between 1999 and 2000.

Peter Mandelson

The image, unearthed by ITV News, shows the Labour peer and the then-prince looking relaxed and barefoot, starkly contrasting with their more recent ashen-faced public appearances following arrests on suspicion of misconduct in public office, specifically linked to allegedly leaking sensitive data to Epstein.

The trio are believed to have been guests at the holiday home of wealthy Lady de Rothschild, and the photograph is also thought to have been taken concurrently with another well-known image of Mandelson in Epstein's 'birthday book,' in which Mandelson left a "nauseating" message describing Epstein as his "best pal."

The connections between Andrew, Mandelson, and Epstein were forged through mutual acquaintances including Ghislaine Maxwell and Sir Evelyn de Rothschild, with a 2010 email exchange seeing Epstein send Mandelson a picture titled 'the good old days,' to which Mandelson replied, "The first time we met and I was entranced."

Keir Starmer

Keir Starmer faced accusations of "dereliction of duty" after Downing Street admitted he did not personally speak to Peter Mandelson before appointing him as the US ambassador in December 2024, despite written warnings about Mandelson's "particularly close" friendship with Epstein.

Instead of a direct interview by Starmer, scrutiny of Mandelson's appointment was delegated to two close friends and proteges of Mandelson — Morgan McSweeney and Matthew Doyle — with McSweeney reportedly asking only three questions and Doyle reviewing the responses and declaring himself "satisfied."

Questions have also been raised about "missing" key files related to the appointment, including due diligence documents, accounts of Mandelson's previous Cabinet resignations, and details of his business links to China and Russia, leading to allegations of a "cover-up" from Mrs. Badenoch and others.

The Epstein Files have also contained other embarrassing images, including one showing Andrew on all fours leaning over a woman, and another depicting Mandelson in his underwear talking to a young woman at Epstein's Paris apartment.

These continuing revelations underscore the pervasive and damaging nature of the connections to Jeffrey Epstein, with ongoing police investigations into Andrew and Mandelson for alleged misconduct in public office continuing to highlight the long-reaching consequences of their association with the disgraced financier.
