LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (Betclic ELITE ProA) signed 27-year old American small forward Zachary Seljaas (202cm-100kg-1997, college: BYU) for the upcoming 2025-26 season. He has played for the last two years at FIT/One Wuerzburg Baskets in the German BBL league. The team played in three different competitions that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 36 BBL games, he was the league's fifth-best scorer with 14.0ppg and averaged 5.6rpg, 1.5apg, and 1.7spg last season. It was a good year as he was named League Player of the Week. He also played 10 games in the Basketball Champions League, where he recorded very impressive stats: 17.7ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.9apg, and 1.0spg. The 2024-25 season was a great one for him as he was named to Eurobasket.com Basketball Champions League Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week.
Seljaas is a quite experienced player. He has played professionally in Georgia (Vera), Slovakia, and The Basketball Tournament (Defeat Diabetes).
Seljaas' team reached the Bundesliga Semifinals in 2024. He was selected for the Eurobasket.com Georgian League All-Imports Team in 2022.
He graduated from BYU in 2020 and it'll be his sixth season as a pro player.
