Defending champion U-Banca Transilvania Cluj Napoca (Liga Nationala) strengthened their roster with the addition of 32-year-old former Israeli-Romanian international 208cm power forward Ben Altit (college: Bryant, agency: Avi Zilberman). He played most recently at Rapid. In 33 Liga Nationala games, he recorded 9.1ppg, 4.1rpg, and 1.8apg during the 2023-24 year. He helped them to make it to the cup final.
Altit was also a member of the Israeli international program for some years. He played for the Israeli Senior National Team between 2016 and 2018 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2013.
Altit has played professionally in Israel between Hapoel Gilboa Galil, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Maccabi Effie Capital Rishon Le-Zion, Ramat Gan, and Bnei Hertzeliya, and during Ironi Nahariya, Maccabi Kiryat Gat, Elitzur Ironi Ashkelon, Maccabi Ashdod/Gderot, and Hapoel Beer Sheva.
He won the Israeli National League championship title in 2023.
He attended Bryant University until 2012 and it'll be his 14th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
