Eric Trump, in partnership with Hut 8, has founded American Bitcoin, a bitcoin mining firm. At Consensus 2025 in Toronto, Eric Trump and Asher Genoot discussed the future vision for American Bitcoin, with Trump reiterating his belief in bitcoin as a store of value.

Trump highlighted the potential of mining bitcoin in America at a low cost, stating, "If I can mine an asset for literally a third the cost that is trading right now, and we can do that in America using the lowest cost energy anywhere in the world, and you're doing that with an asset that appreciates 60% year over year has been one of the greatest stores of value probably in the history of humanity. That's an awesome combination." He also mentioned that political attacks against his family and the crypto community fueled his passion for cryptocurrency.

Trump stated that American Bitcoin aims to accumulate a significant amount of bitcoin and be the cheapest miner. He was scheduled to discuss stablecoins at Consensus Toronto on May 16.

Separately, it was reported that Eric Trump's American Bitcoin plans to go public on the Nasdaq.
