Royal Controversy Deepens as Prince Andrew Linked to Epstein’s Hidden Network

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew, was arrested on his 66th birthday and questioned for 11 hours at Aylsham police station on suspicion of misconduct in public office, amid ongoing scrutiny of his ties to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Police subsequently searched his former residences, Royal Lodge and Wood Farm, investigating allegations that Andrew shared sensitive information, including confidential trade reports and investment opportunities, with Epstein during his 2010–2011 tenure as the UK’s special representative for international trade and investment.
Beverly Hills lawyer Perry Wander, representing an Epstein victim, has urged British prosecutors to consider charging Andrew with sex trafficking under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
The client alleges that Andrew introduced her to Epstein at Windsor Castle, encouraged her to spend time with him, and facilitated travel on Epstein’s private jet, known as the “Lolita Express.”
Under the Act, facilitating travel for exploitation could establish criminal liability, according to Wander.
Andrew has denied all wrongdoing.
However, new allegations include a 2010 photograph of him on all fours over a mystery woman in Epstein’s New York apartment, claims regarding his aide David Stern joking about sexual activity on Epstein’s island, and reports of questionable expenses while serving as a trade envoy.
He is now preparing to move into Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate, with security enhancements already underway.
The Royal Family has publicly addressed the arrest.
King Charles issued an “unprecedented statement” expressing concern and affirming that the law must take its course, emphasizing full support for the investigation.
International reactions include a letter from Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to Sir Keir Starmer, supporting potential removal of Andrew from the royal succession line.
US lawyers, including Jack Scarola, have suggested Andrew might avoid US prosecution due to a “deliberate cover-up,” while Gloria Allred criticized the prioritization of state crimes over sexual abuse allegations.
Congressman Suhas Subramanyan has offered to travel to the UK to depose Andrew under oath.
Separately, French authorities released images from Epstein’s 18-room Paris flat, revealing massage tables, devices, and photographs of naked women.
Workmen and a former butler testified about photographs of young girls arranged “like family photos.”
French prosecutors have launched investigations into financial crimes and human trafficking related to the property, which sold for over £7 million in 2022.
Documents from the US Department of Justice indicate Epstein may have been involved in drug trafficking.
A heavily redacted 2015 DEA memo investigated Epstein and 14 unidentified individuals for nearly $50 million in suspicious wire transfers connected to illicit activities in the US Virgin Islands and New York.
This probe began in 2010, two years after Epstein’s controversial non-prosecution agreement.
Former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown has criticized Britain’s alleged role in enabling exploitation, calling for Andrew to be questioned regarding potential disclosures of market-sensitive documents to Epstein.
Peter Mandelson, Andrew’s former colleague, was also arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office, though he denies wrongdoing.
Brown’s actions reflect the widespread demand for accountability and justice for Epstein’s victims.
