Brentford forward, Bryan Mbeumo, wants a big pay package to make the move to Manchester United.
The Red Devils are ready to begin negotiations with their Premier League rivals over signing Mbeumo.
But the 25-year-old’s salary demands could prove to be tricky.
Mbeumo wants to secure a major wage increase if he moves to Old Trafford this summer, according to The Times.
The Cameroon international currently earns £50,000 a week at the Gtech Community Stadium but could demand five times as much as that at Old Trafford.
Mbeumo became the Bees’ talisman after Ivan Toney’s exit, scoring 20 goals and contributing another seven assists in 38 league appearances last season.
Brentford will demand around £60m for Mbeumo and United may be able to offer him the wages he wants if they can get rid of Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho, two of their biggest earners, this summer.
